Secret Belgian Binding

Like many scrapbookers, Bryonna has been participating in the December Daily Challenge. She has competed eight, one-page collages as a way to document the days. To see the daily process, follow 1134 Press on IG. In this week’s video, Bryonna shows how she made a mixed page junk journal for the challenge. 

To bind the journal, Bryonna chose to use Secret Belgian Binding. With this binding technique, there will be more give in the book’s spine as it fills with journal pages. Also, Bryonna believes the Secret Belgian Bind looks best for vertically oriented pages. To learn this technique, watch the tutorial below.
